1. 2018 KCB IGIRE Scholarships

n an effort to equip the Rwandan youth for self-employment, KCB Bank Rwanda in partnership with the National Youth Council is offering an opportunity for the youth to acquire vocational skills through a Scholarship programme dubbed IGIRE.

The programme will cover the following courses:

1. Carpentry (Ububaji)

2. Culinary Art (Ubuhanga mu guteka)

3. Information & Communication Technology (Ikorana buhanga mu makuru n’itumanaho)

4. Domestic Electrical Installation. (Ibijyanye n’amashanyarazi)


2.U.S Embassy Kigali:Call for Applications for 2018 Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program

Fulbright TEA brings international teachers to the United States for a six-week program that offers academic seminars for professional development at a host university.

Participants observe classrooms and share their expertise with teachers and students at the host university and at local secondary schools.

Fulbright Teaching Excellence and Achievement Program (Fulbright TEA) is a program of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA), administered by the International Research & Exchanges (IREX).


3.Startupbootcamp- Kigali FastTrack

On the 19th of March, the Startupbootcamp Cape Town program welcomes you to Kigali, Rwanda for a FastTrack day as part of its international tour to support the area’s best talents. The 10 most promising startups selected from the applications will be invited to present their innovative ideas to the Startupbootcamp team, and fellow entrepreneurs. You will have the opportunity to receive mentor feedback and learn more about the Cape Town based Startupbootcamp accelerator program.

If you’re a startup, you are encouraged  to apply now. With only 10 spots available for the day, the earlier you apply the higher your chances are of attending the event.


4. KLab Blockchain technology workshop–Kigali,Rwanda

TheWorkshop” is an initiative by kLab of organizing a workshop every March to talk about new technologies.This year of 2018, kLab has decided to dedicate it to “Blockchain”.“TheWorkshop” will take place in Kigali-Rwanda, on March 18-20,2018. It will bring together 200 participantsfrom all over the World, 35 local,regional and international speakers to share their experiences/case studies.This edition is a preparatory meeting for InclusiCon (www.inclusicon.io) that will take place in Rwanda, May 9-11 as a side event of Transform Africa Summit.


5.HEINEKEN Africa Foundation: Call for project proposals

The HEINEKEN Africa Foundation is accepting proposals from breweries in Sub-Saharan Africa and (N)GO’s for its grant program.

Underpinning HEINEKEN’s long-standing commitment to Africa, projects are only carried out in the Sub-Saharan African countries in which HEINEKEN is operating.


For each project a partnership is created between the HEINEKEN Africa Foundation, the local HEINEKEN brewery and a local or international (N)GO. The Foundation provides funding and administrative assistance. The local brewery supports through means of manpower, expertise and monitoring. The (N)GO is responsible for the implementation and continuation of the project.
