FERWAFA would like to request interested people to apply for the below listed positions by fulfilling the respective mentioned requirements:


1.Refereeing Officer

Report to: The Head of Refereeing Department

Role: He (She) is primarily responsible for high quality work in compliance with processes and procedures of the FERWAFA Refereeing Department activities in order to ensure compliance with core processes and procedures.

He (She) is specifically responsible for:

Functions

Assist the Head of Refereeing Department and Refereeing Commission of FERWAFA

Tasks

  • Assist the Refereeing Commission in the absence of the Head of Refereeing Department.
  • Assist the Head of the Refereeing Department in the organization of courses, trainings and workshops for the development and performance of referees, referees assessors and match commissioners.
  • Ensure that referees, referees assessors and match commissioners designated are aware of their designations to the matches.
  • Follow-up of the reports of the referees, referees assessors and match commissioners; and report immediately those that come daily.
  • Assist the Head of Refereeing Department in the implementation of decisions adopted by the Refereeing Committee.
  • To implement programs to develop the referees according to the guidelines approved by Referees Committee.
  • To carry out all tasks related to the logistics of refereeing
  • Appoint the referees for various competitions in case of absence of the Referees Committee.
  • Perform duties as secretary to the Refereeing Commission and provide sound advice to FERWAFA and make recommendations to Management as necessary.

2.Produce report of activities

Tasks

  • Produce monthly, quarterly and annually report of activities
  • Perform any other duties related to football that might be assigned to him/her

SELECTION CRITERIA

The candidate shall:

  • Have a degree (in Sport would be an asset) with at least 5 years of experience as a Referee in a higher division (Division 1)
  • Be proficient in the use of MS Office suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in English, French and Kinyarwanda (any other language being a plus),
  • Be dependable, cooperative and a team player.
  • Be able to work independently, pro-actively and have a ‘hands-on’ approach.
  • Have excellent task-management skills, able to set and meet deadlines and multi-task effectively with discretion and confidentiality.
  • The candidate should be available to start immediately upon confirmation of his recruitment and contract terms finalization.

2.Assistant to the National Technical Director

Report to: The National Technical Director

Report to: The Director of Administration and Finance

Role: To ensure proactive good care and treatment of partners and Department Technicians, in a well-organized and timely manner.

He (She) is specifically responsible for:

Manage the National Technical director agenda

He (She) is specifically responsible for:

Functions Tasks
1.Manage the National Technical Director agenda.

 

  • Keep the diary of appointments of the Executive Secretary.
  • Receive and orient visitors of the Executive Secretary
  • Prepare the Executive Secretary travels, missions and meetings.
2.Ensuring proper filing and orientation of documents in the office of the National Technical Director.
  • Filing both electronic and hard documents in the office of the National Technical Director.
  • Orient correspondences and monitor to ensure that feedback is provided.
3.Receiving official emails and Calls of the National Technical Director.
  • Receiving text messages or telephone calls for the Executive Secretary.
  • Responding to the Executive Secretary of the corrections documents/files before it is signed.
  • Typewrite texts from the Executive Secretary.
4.Produce the report of activities

 

  • Produce monthly, quarterly and annual report of activities
  • Perform any other duties related to football that might be assigned to him/her.

 

 

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Have a bachelor’s degree in any field or A1 in Office management or Secretariat Studies with proven experience as a personal assistant;
  • Be proficient in the use of MS Office suite, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word;
  • Have excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in English, French, and Kinyarwanda (any other language being a plus);
  • The candidate should be available to start immediately upon confirmation of his recruitment and contract terms finalization.
