Program :International program in Child Development (M.A.) in Haifa University

Training a cadre of child development professionals and policy leaders in the developing world is of the utmost urgency, as there is a pressing need to improve the lives of children around the world.

In response to this need, the University of Haifa has launched the International MA Program in Child Development for Developing Countries, designed to increase the professional knowledge of childcare professionals who work with children.
 
We are pleased to inform you that since October 2014 when Haifa University first launched the program, it has produced by 87 highly qualified and successful graduates from four cohorts who got their MA degrees and returned to their home countries in order to continue their work in fostering the wellbeing of children. This year’s class includes 19 students from Albania, Australia Botswana, Ethiopia, Georgia, Ghana, Liberia, Kenya, Myanmar, the Netherlands, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, Uruguay, and USA.  
This academic initiative brings talented students from diverse backgrounds – pediatrics, nursing, psychology, psychiatry, education, anthropology, sociology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, law, social work and social welfare, speech pathology and therapy, media, and even priesthood – to make a substantial impact in their home countries in fields of education, welfare and healthcare
.
The University of Haifa opened the registration for the 6th cohort who will begin the course of studies this coming October 2019. Taught in English, the program collaborates with MASHAV – Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
 
Scholarships are available for students from developing countries. The scholarships include coverage of tuition, housing, medical insurance and living expenses.
 
 
Those candidates applying with a request to obtain a scholarship for developing countries must submit their application no later than March 15th, 2019.
