Volunteers needed at Purpose Rwanda (Deadline: June 08,2018)

Purpose Rwanda is a nonprofit organization (No 151/RGB/NGO/LP/10/2017) whose mission is to build Purposeful, Positive and Addiction free generation towards self-sustainability and socioeconomic transformation among the citizenry.

In order to fulfil its mission, Purpose Rwanda seeks to recruit self-motivated and candidates who are  passionate about socioeconomic transformation of their society.

The volunteers needed will serve in the following capacities.

1.  Purpose Development strategist: 1
2.  Purpose Rwanda missions officer:  1
3.  Strategic partnership officer: 1


1.Purpose Development strategist: 1

Job summary:

Working under the supervision of the Director of Purpose Development Department, the Purpose Development strategist will perform a variety of tasks, which include;

  • Plan the start of Purpose Development and support Hub
  • Developing purposes among people and supporting the outstanding ones
  • Presentations of the best purposes
  • Funding outstanding purposes
  • Coordinating Purpose groups/partnerships
  • Connecting best purposes to rightful partners/funders/sponsors
  • Prepare trainings in discovery of purposes
  • Deployment of outstanding and ready purposes to stir society development
  • Any other task

Minimum qualification

Degree or Diploma in any field with a burning desire to see a transformed society

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills;
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Kinyarwanda, knowledge of French is an added advantage.
  • Well organized, time conscious, and flexible
  • Creative
  • Warm, welcoming, descent and good at creating first and lasting impressions

The successful candidate will sign a six month renewable performance contract


2. Purpose Rwanda missions officer: 1  

Working under the supervision of the director of Purpose Rwanda missions Dept, the Purpose Rwanda missions officer will perform a variety of services which include but not limited to;

  • To ensure that PR mission is extended nationwide
  • To  plant  PR  chapters  across  the  country:  communities,  universities/colleges  and  high schools.
  • To plan for and plant Purpose international
  • Funding proposals to start starting PR in communities
  • Following up and engaging existing PR chapters
  • To plan for a series of PR campaigns
  • To plan for and schedule TV and Radio talk shows
  • To plan for public conferences and seminars
  • Advocate for abstinence from Premarital sex in a bid to stop the spread of HIV/Aids

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree or Diploma in Public Admin, Social sciences, Public relations, business studies, or
any other related field with passion for society transformation

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Excellent communication, organisation and coordination skills
  • Professional attitude, capable of multi-tasking
  • Fluent in spoken  and  written  Kinyarwanda  and  English,  knowledge  of  French  is  an added advantage

3. Strategic partnership officer

Working  under  the  Director  of  Strategic partnership Dept,  the  Strategic Partnership officer will execute various tasks including but not limited to;

  • Developing a strategic plan to ensure the sustainability of Purpose Rwanda mission
  • To work closely with PR partners, maintain and improve the cooperation affairs between Purpose Rwanda and its partners
  • To identify potential partners that resonate with Purpose Rwanda mission and establish  areas of cooperation
  • To raise funding for Purpose Rwanda projects (organizing fundraising events, proposal writings signing up and subscribing to funding entities, etc)
  • Designing projects towards implementing PR mission
  • Working  closely  with  other  departments  to  collectively  implement  Purpose  Rwanda’s mission

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree  or  Diploma  in  Project  planning,  Public  Admin,  Social  sciences,  Public relations,business studies, or any other related field with passion for society transformation.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Excellent proposal writing skills
  • Excellent communication, organisation and coordination skills
  • Professional attitude, capable of multi-tasking
  • Fluent  in  spoken  and  written  Kinyarwanda  and  English,  knowledge  of  French  is  an added advantage
