The University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) provides two main ways to access its student portal system:
Primary Access Method: UKZN Student Central
- Visit sc.ukzn.ac.za
- Enter your student number
- Click “Proceed”
- Enter your password
- Click Login
Alternative Access Method
- Visit ukzn.ac.za/student-portal
- Follow the student portal links from this page
Password Management
If you need to reset your password, you have two options:
- Online Self-Service:
- Visit passwordchange.ukzn.ac.za
- Available 24/7 from anywhere
- Requires your current password
- Mobile App Method:
- Use the MyUKZN Mobile App
- Navigate to Self-Help menu
- Select “Change My LAN Account Password”
- Follow the prompts to set a new password
Support Options
If you encounter issues accessing the portal:
- Visit the ICS Walk-in Centre with your UKZN staff card
- Email icssupport@ukzn.ac.za with:
- Scanned copy of your student card
- Your cell phone number
- New passwords are sent via SMS
Additional Access Through MyUKZN App
The MyUKZN Mobile App provides full access to your student information and allows you to:
- View course and examination schedules
- Check admission and funding status
- Access graduation information
- Use emergency security features
- Find university service contacts
The app is available for download on the Google Play Store. Once installed, you can log in using your student credentials to access all your personal data.
