How to find and apply for jobs

  • Visit the DRC career portal: The best way to find current openings is to visit  drc.ngo/about-us/work-with-us/. This page lists all their open jobs, and you can filter them by category, location, and contract type.
  • Online application process: The DRC only accepts applications submitted through their online system. You’ll need to create an account and upload a cover letter and an updated CV (usually no longer than four pages). They do not accept applications sent via email.
  • Standby Rosters: DRC also maintains standby rosters for different types of expertise, such as Humanitarian Response. These rosters are for individuals who are ready to be deployed with short notice. Recruitment for these rosters is done periodically.

Important things to note:

  • Equal Opportunity Employer: The DRC is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity. They are committed to creating an inclusive environment and encourage women and individuals from minority groups to apply.
  • No Application Fees: The DRC does not solicit money for any part of its recruitment process.
  • Local and International Positions: While some positions are filled with international expats, a majority are recruited locally within the country of operation.
