In 2018, the world was rocked by data privacy scandals around the top global tech companies. Currently, Europe is seriously getting ready for GDPR compliance. Further, most enterprise workloads are moving to the cloud (83% by 2020) while the IoT market is on the rise and attractive to hackers; mostly because technologists often trade off their product’s security for a faster launch curve.

Without a doubt, data security will increasingly become a critical issue for most organizations hence why it is imperative for software engineers to arm themselves with strategies against hackers, especially with the obvious vulnerabilities that can expose your user data to an attacker.

This workshop gives you a  chance to see, first-hand, how web applications could get hacked and how a developer can mitigate the risks and vulnerabilities of hackers.

Led by Benedict Egima, and Timothy Kasasa, this will be a learning and open conversation, so come ready to engage, on this first episode of Andela Workshops in Uganda!
