BRALIRWA is looking for a qualified, dedicated & experienced individual to fill the position of Automation Engineer based in Gisenyi reporting to the Engineering Manager.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and organize asset master data within the CMMS.
  • Use, monitor, control the asset breakdown structure, and define all planned maintenance tasks and inventory items in CMMS.
  • Monitor asset performance (production line availability).
  • Support Maintenance Engineer in optimizing planned maintenance strategy (standards and tasks), maintaining automation master plan and optimizing spare parts management.
  • Propose autonomous maintenance support policy for automation and support implementation.
  • Supports engineering leader (EL) and report to the EL in initiating and driving optimized maintenance processes (i.e. improve and sustain asset performance and reducing costs).
  • Feed planning team leader and maintenance planner with preventive maintenance plans and plans to improve asset performance
  • Implement weak component analysis (WCA) and executes improvement activities to improve weak points of equipment.
  •  Responsible for assessment and training in automation troubleshooting
  • Maintains automation back-up data (parameter, PLC, HMI etc.).
  • Collect safety related maintenance tasks and translates into maintenance plans for execution
  • Collects quality related maintenance tasks and translates into maintenance plans for execution, including calibration activities.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, instrumentation, Automation or any other related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years in technical operations or plant automation
  • S7 Advanced training
  • Fluent in English , French and Kinyarwanda

  • Good communication skills and ability to connect with different stakeholders
  • People Management skills and team collaboration spirit
  • Aptitude online test
  • Driving License Category “B”
