Call for focus group participants

Are you a young artist, researcher or entrepreneur? Make your voice heard on climate change and our future, and connect with like-minded young people from Europe and Africa!

Young people across the world have been calling for greater commitment to climate action. The British Council and the Africa-Europe Foundation  are accelerating shared efforts to reinforce youth voice, agency and leadership at the heart of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP).

Based on crowdsourced data from more than 8,000 young people in 23 countries, the Global Youth Letter  is a plan of actions directly addressing policymakers in relation to young people’s aspirations and recommendations around climate change.

As part of the programme, we are organising three focus groups with young artists, researchers and entrepreneurs to discuss the findings of the Global Youth Letter and reflect on how young people can contribute to a better future in their respective sectors.

The two-hour focus groups will be held online in English and will be guided by a facilitator. The discussions will be captured and presented at a youth policy dialogue event taking place in Brussels at the end of November.

Focus group dates

  • 18 October 2021 (16.00–18.00 UK time): Artists and the Global Youth Letter
  • 3 November 2021 (16.00–18.00 UK time): Entrepreneurs and the Global Youth Letter
  • 5 November 2021 (16.00–18.00 UK time): Researchers and the Global Youth Letter
