RwandAir Catering Ltd is a fast-growing in-flight catering company in Rwanda and started its operations from August 2014 and has been providing catering services to scheduled airlines, private jet, and charters for five years now. RwandAir Catering ltd aims to be one of the biggest aviation catering companies in Africa in a few years to come.

As part of this strategy we are looking for interested qualified and enthusiastic candidates to fill the position mentioned below:

Job title: Cold Kitchen Assistant (4 positions)

Department: Production              

Reports to: Executive chef

Function:

The job holder’s function is to prepare fruits and vegetables according to the standard operating procedures.

 Major Responsibilities:

 Get meal orders from dispatch unit

  1. Collect utensils from dish wash for use
  2. Collect raw materials from store and warehouse for daily use
  3. Wash and sort all fruits and vegetables and store them accordingly.
  4. Prepare fruits and vegetables (cutting, juicing /plating) as recommended or as guided by the supervisor and accordingly to airline specifications.
  5. Color code and label according to requirements.
  6. Cold storage for flight /cold & hot kitchen
  7. Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Knowledge and skills.

  • Minimum 2 relevant experiences in an airline hospitality industry
  • Minimum of O Level or equivalent qualification.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
