Job Description
- Duties and responsibilities.
- Build database scheme, tables, procedures and permissions.
- Develop database utilities and automated reporting.
- Create shell scripts for task automation.
- Create, test and execute data management languages;Analyse and sustain capacity and performance requirements of database.
- Analyse, consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency.
- Monitor systems and platforms for availability.
- Oversee backup, clustering, mirroring, replication and failover.
- Restore and recover corrupted databases.
- Install and test upgrades and patches.
- Implement security and encryption.
- Evaluate and recommend new database technologies.
- Design and document database architecture and Data Modelling.
- Job Profile
A0 in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Information Management System , Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering.
A1 in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Electronics, or Telecommunication Engineering with a Certifications in A+, N+ is required; Certifications in CCNA, MCSE, MCSD, MCTs (.NET),LAMP/WAMP Framework or MCITP are an added advantage.
Key technical skills and knowledge required:
- Strong command of written and spoken English.
- Experience in IT System Analysis ,Implimentation and Evaluation.
- Sound understanding of Compter Systems ,hardware,software and networks.
- Experience of developing and managing ICT budget.
- Excellent Organizationas Skills.
- Advanced leadership skills,including coaching ,team building, problem solving,conflict resolution,consensus
- building .
- Ability to provide innovative technical solutions,strategies and options to complex and critical technical issues affecting multiple displines and work groups
- Knowledge of French is an added advantage.
