Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader of the Transformational Governance Unit, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:

  1. Provide support to the implementation of programme activities related to empowering persons with disabilities and promoting their rights
  • Contribute to planning, budgeting, reporting and evaluation processes within the framework of the disability platform.
  • Develop a monitoring framework for the work done by the disability platform and facilitate its implementation.
  • Provide administrative support to the implementation of the micro grant’s projects implemented by DPOs;
  • Support strategic thinking around disability inclusion in Rwanda to inform planning and decision making by UNDP;
  • Contribute to the UNDP country office efforts to implement the global UN disability inclusion strategy
  • Provide technical inputs to capacity development initiatives for DPOs
  1. Promote partnership and contribute to resource mobilization for the disability inclusion platform
  • Support documentation of results and analysis of lessons learnt;
  • Support programme and advocacy and awareness raising activities related to disability inclusion platform;
  • Contribute to the development of project proposals and partnership frameworks on disability inclusion in Rwanda;
  • Support the implementation of the partnership frameworks established under the disability platform including the monitoring and accountability requirements;
  1. Provide support to the Transformational Governance Unit in the area of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of programmes
  • Facilitate the development of a M&E plan for the unit
  • Contribute to M&E and quality assurance activities of the unit and enable the unit’s compliance with M&E corporate requirements;
  • Follow up on performance indicators/ success criteria, targets and milestones, preparation of plans and reports for the programmes in the unit.
  • Support the Country Office efforts for result based monitoring and accountability.
 Bachelor degree or equivalent

 

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Social Sciences, project management, political sciences, development studies, public administration, law or related field.
