The Finance & Grants Officer’s main role is to be responsible for supporting all the primary financial and accounting transactions in the organization and ensure financial transactions and records are undertaken and maintained in accordance with internal and external financial requirements and in compliance with the laws applicable in Rwanda.

Education Development Trust is implementing the Building Learning Foundations (BLF) in Rwanda. The Building Learning Foundations programme (BLF) is funded by the United Kingdom’s Department for International Development (DFID) and aims to improve the quality of teaching and leadership in all of Rwanda’s government-supported primary schools.
The programme is being implemented by a consortium of British not-for-profit organizations led by Education Development Trust in partnership with the British Council and VSO in all thirty districts of Rwanda. BLF has already benefitted all P1-P3 English and Mathematics teachers in all of Rwanda’s 2,494 primary schools improving learner outcomes of over one million P1 to P3 pupils.
