Job purpose
Kenolkobil Rwanda is looking for a competent and experienced Depot Manager who will be responsible for efficient and economic storage and handling, maintenance and operations of the Fuel Depot.
In particular:
• Leads a team and driving Depot performance to ensure healthy, safe, efficient and cost effective operations which is in compliance with KPRLTD practice and standards,
• Acts as the Depot focal point for all interested bodies (Internal and external) and is accountable for the 24/7 safe and efficient operations and equipment at the Depot.
• Champions business optimization process and apply sound practices, procedures and behaviors concerning KPRLTD operations
• Ensures optimum performance and seeks improvements to create competitive advantage in terms of safety, security, asset utilization and costs within agreed budgets.
• Maintains a constant and critical appraisal of all Depot activities and costs within the depots by directing the team to manage all achievable resources so that company products are stored, handled and distributed to the agreed standards.
• Builds a culture of operational excellence within the team by providing leadership, motivation, coaching and mentoring.
• Champions embedment and implementation of HSEQ requirements at the depot.
Duties and responsibilities
- Depot staff talent management.
- Depot stock inventory management
- Depot Operations. Bulk Loading Rack Meters assized quarterly and controlled, controls in place for receipts of products, Exercise strict controls over truck seals
- Depot maintenance. Asset management, maintain in acceptable condition the overall depot facilities and equipment, maintain the accuracy of the depot metering units
- HSEQ management system, process safety, incident management, risk assessment, Emergency preparedness, Environmental management
- Security Management. Gates monitoring, security cameras, Depot locks and keys control.
Qualifications, Experience, skills and competencies required:
· Degree in Mechanical, electromechanical, electrical engineering or related field
· Proven experience of 4 years plus in this domain
· Knowledge of depot operation procedures
· Operational excellent and asset management
· Knowledge of HSEQ systems, policies and procedures
·Knowledge of security management system for hazardous working operational units
Working conditions
