Applications are now open for the 2019 International WaterCentre Partial tuition Scholarships. The International WaterCentre will grant an IWC Master’s Scholarship to all international applicants who apply, are accepted into, and enrol in the Master of Integrated Water Management program as self-funded, full-time students.
Value
The total value for this scholarship is A$9,500, which covers:
- A$7000 towards the cost of tuition for the Master of Integrated Water Management program
Bonus offer for international students: cost of flights to Australia refunded
In addition to the fees component of the partial scholarship, IWC will refund flights to Australia for self-funded international students who are undertaking the Masters program up to a maximum value. Flight refunds are not available for students undertaking the Graduate Certificate. Students are encouraged to arrive into Brisbane at least one week in advance of the commencement of the program to allow time to find adequate housing and acclimate to Brisbane. The MIWM program will commence on Saturday, 16th February 2019

- Partial Scholarships are paid out to Griffith University progressively over consecutive semesters of study.
- The Partial Scholarships are awarded on the basis that Recipients maintain an enrolled status in the course
Eligibility
To receive a partial tuition scholarship:
- applicants must apply for admission into Griffith University
- receive an offer of admission into the MIWM program
- accept their offer of admission into Griffith University and pay the tuition fee deposit
- formally enrol in the four courses for trimester 1, 2019
- once enrolled, the partial scholarship will be paid directly to Griffith towards the trimester 1 tuition fees
Activities during scholarship period
Partial Scholarship Recipients will be expected to participate in activities beyond IWC Integrated Water Management programs regular coursework requirements. These additional activities are required but will not result in additional academic credit, and may include but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with International WaterCentre’s marketing and communications department to participate in surveys, photo shoots or provide interviews and written articles for promotional purposes;
- Present research at selected conferences throughout the duration of the program as designated by IWC.
- Failure to participate in the aforementioned activities, when required, may result in the forfeiture of the Partial Scholarship
