Job Title: JD Edwards ERP Finance Senior Analyst

Department: IT, Finance and Administration

Reports to (Job Title): Finance and Administration Director

OBJECTIVES

Main focal point and administration user of the ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system Oracle JD Edwards in Rwanda. Responsible for the correct usage and management of the ERP system and report to headquarters through the corporate system. Assist and give training to other employees for using correctly JD Edwards.

Supports financial decision-making information by collecting, analyzing, investigating, and reporting financial data, and is responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining cash controls, purchasing, maintaining accounts payable and managing office operations.

  • Strong Knowledge on ERP system Oracle JD Edwards is a must
  • Matching process of JDEs
  • Register the bank movements (Cheques, transfers)
  • Bank Reconciliation in Foreign and local currency
  • Register petty cash movements
  • Book all invoices sales and expenses
  • Register the payroll
  • Liaise with head office to respond to finance inquiries
  • Study account payable and receivable circle
  • Monthly accounting adjustment

REQUIREMENTSEducation / Experience

Education:                             

  • University Degree Level or higher in Finance and Accounting
  • Relevant qualifications and trainings associated with Accounting must have

Experience:

  • Track Record in Finance and Accounting
  • 4+ years’ experience in similar role
  • 2+ years’ specific and proven expertise with ERP system Oracle JD Edwards

Specific / Skills Knowledge

  • Computerized accounting programs (ERP JD Edwards)
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivables
  • Generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS)
  • Tools and techniques for accounting and reporting
  • Fund accounting
  • Preparation of financial statements and reports
  • An understanding of Rwanda Government financial systems, legislation, policies and procedures
  • Team working
  • Cultural awareness
  • Outstanding writing, speaking and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Leadership qualities such as strong work ethic, trustworthiness, self confidence
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Oracle JD Edwards
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills
  • Ability to analyze large volumes of data, highlight and understand errors and identify how to fix them.
  • Must be willing to get involved in the detail
