World Relief is a unique and invigorating place to work and we are recruiting a qualified and well-experienced candidate to fill the position of Human Resources Coordinator. The job description and requirements are as follows:

Position Title: Human Resources Coordinator

Position Location: Kigali, Rwanda

Department/Division: Administration and Finance

Job Title of Supervisor: Director of Administration and Finance

Length of Opportunity: Open-Ended Contract

Hours per week: Full time

General Function:

Primary responsibility is to collaborate with the supervisor to equip, build and identify the right people with the heart and skills to pursue the mission of empowering the local church to serve the most vulnerable. This role will also require the HR coordinator to continuously create, remind, advocate for a working environment that takes serious all world relief values so there are fruitfulness and fulfillment within our staff.

Duties:

Ensure there’s clear understanding and compliance to the Rwanda labor law, HR policies and procedures and ethical principles within the organization.

Enhance the organization’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations, job descriptions, human resources policies and procedures, programs, and world relief values.

Maintain the organizational structure that encourages collaboration, sense of purpose and unity within the entire organization.

Work with the supervisors to make sure there’s the timely submission of job requirements and job descriptions for all positions needed on the organizational structure.

Collaborate with the supervisor to strengthen our recruiting, testing, and interviewing program, conducting and analyzing exit interviews and recommending areas of growth to the executive leadership team.

Coordinate HR functions including recruitment, the orientation of new staff, staff training, compensation, and all staff benefits.

Ensure the proper management of the payroll and HR information systems.

Process the payroll and make sure PAYE tax and social security deductions are timely done and paid, and keep copies of payment proof

Document historical human resource records and ensure there’s a proper filing and retrieval system that keeps past and current personnel records.

Ensure the safety and confidentiality of all staff information and files.

Follow up and make sure all staff development programs and commitments are timely implemented.

Implement the organization’s performance management and appraisal system that encourages accountability to results, feedback and recognition between supervisors and their direct reports.

Equip staff with tools to support their one on one feedback meetings on performance with their supervisors so there’s clear documentation on areas of focus or growth and how to document and apply disciplinary actions where necessary.

Manage staff leave and follow up with supervisors to make sure that leaves are planned and taken appropriately.

Secure working visas for expatriate staff and keep management up to date on the new Rwanda regulations applicable in this area.

Perform other duties related to the above responsibilities as assigned and agreed upon with the supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

A university degree in Social Sciences or Administration, or Human Resources Management related field.

The initiative, excellent organization ability, with attention to details

Excellent interpersonal skills for teamwork in a multi-racial environment

Self-directing, reliable and responsible

Mastery of oral and written official languages used in Rwanda

Result-driven, flexible and motivating team player

Competent in the use of Microsoft Office tools.

Ability to work independently, and to deal with problems/issues promptly and efficiently

Ability to communicate clearly, both orally and in writing

Flexible and motivated team player

Experience Required:

Minimum of 3 years of experience in HR &Administration work including the use of HRIS Management, payroll systems, and legal contractual aspects.
