Rwanda Rural Rehabilitation Initiative (RWARRI), a national Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), invites candidates to fill the following positions that have been created in its project Farm to Market Alliance (FtMA) funded by WFP.

  • Position: Senior Extensionist.
  • Position: 2 Field Officers

Senior Extensionist.

Status: Full time, Location: Kigali, Rwanda.

RWARRI is an equal opportunity organization and is therefore seeking an exceptional professional with capacity to provide professional advice to farmers organized in Cooperatives on agricultural production, management and governance among others. The senior Extensionist will be responsible for data collection, planning and reporting with targeted cooperatives and support Field officers to increase cooperatives production, improve on quality of produce, assist in cooperative management, ensure good coordination of the different stakeholders and deliver the quantities of maize as prescribed in the contracts between the cooperatives and FtMA buyers.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness or any other management related field
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to lead, coordinate teams.
  • Demonstrate ability to collect data, analyze and report.
  • Demonstrate past experience working with farmers Cooperatives or other business groups.
  • Demonstrate capacity to coordinate logistics and respond to market and Cooperative demands in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds;
  • Excellent Written and spoken English skills is required. Working knowledge of French and Kinyarwanda will be an added advantage.

Field Officers

Status: Full time, Location: Nyaruguru and Huye Districts.

RWARRI is an equal opportunity organization and is therefore seeking an exceptional professional with training in agriculture with capacity to provide professional advice to farmers organized in Cooperatives. The Field Officers will be responsible for data collection, provide technical guidance to farmers to increase production, improve on quality of produce, assist in cooperative management, ensure good coordination of the different stakeholders and deliver the quantities of maize as prescribed in the contracts between the cooperatives and FtMA buyers.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness or any other related field.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to lead, coordinate teams
  • Demonstrate expertise in working with Maize or beans value chains.
  • Demonstrate ability to collect data and report.
  • Demonstrate past experience working with farmers Cooperatives or other business groups.
  • Demonstrate capacity to respond to market and Cooperative demands in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate ability to collaborate with colleagues from diverse backgrounds;
  • Excellent Written and spoken English skills is required. Working knowledge of French and Kinyarwanda will be an added advantage.
