Job Description
Reporting: The Public Transport Inspectors reports to Director of Public Transport Unit.
Duties and responsibilities:
1. Taking part in the elaboration of the strategic plan of the transport service sector;
2. Working with Traffic Police and other stakeholders to organize the public transport sector;
3. Providing weekly reports in regards to transport service status throughout the country;
4. Keeping a database on private companies intervening in the public service sector;
5. Provide technical support in preparing terms of reference for the feasibility and final design studies and bidding documents of transport services projects;
6. Provide written and signed report in regards to the review of feasibility, final design studies and implementation reports transport services;
Job Profile
A1 in Civil Engineering, Transportation, Road Engineering & Construction, Building & Construction, Civil Infrastructure Engineering, Road Safety Management or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation, Road Engineering &
Construction, Building & Construction, Civil Infrastructure Engineering, Road Safety Management.
Key technical skills and knowledge required:
– Deep understanding of Government policies implementation;

– Knowledge on IT systems;
– Coordination, planning and organizational skills;
– Report writing and presentation skills;
– Leadership skills;
– Computer Literacy ;
– Interpersonal skills;

– Fluency in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French. Knowledge of all is an advantage.
