The Coordination office of the Partnership Rhineland-Palatinate/Rwanda (Jumelage) is announcing the following vacancy:

Receptionist (internship)

The partnership between Rhineland-Palatinate (Federal State in Germany) and Rwanda exists for more than 39 years and is a successful model for decentralised and citizen-oriented development cooperation. The office in Kigali coordinates various activities in the field of education, TVET, health, the inclusion of people with disabilities, infrastructure, water and energy, local government, and economic relations.

The position for an intern at our reception desk is avaiable from 1st of November 2021.

Your main tasks will be:

  • To welcome visitors and to coordinate their needs
  • To support administrative work
  • to follow up on visa applications for incoming and outgoing partners
  • To receive and coordinate incoming and outgoing calls (English, French, and Kinyarwanda)
  • To support office logistics (e.g. booking of hotels, flights)
  • To support and provide content and input for our social media

Required qualifications, competences, and experiences:

  • Pronounced oral and written communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda, French and German language skills are an asset
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS Office programs (word, ppt, Excel)
  • Proactive mindset combined with reliable working results
  • Team player and team-oriented way of working
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
  • Very good communication skills and open-minded
  • A university degree (Bachelor level) in tourism, business administration, or equivalent skills and/or experiences in hospitality services are welcomed.
