Why a theme on Accelerating the Digital/Internet Economy through e-Commerce in Rwanda and what are key discussion points?

This will be the first forum bringing together public and private sector stakeholders along the entire E-commerce value chain to discuss pertinent issues, opportunities and frameworks needed to mainstream ecommerce into Rwanda’s digital economy. Working with ICT Chamber as well as other partners RICTA will be leading with the first E-commerce forum in Rwanda, inviting industry leaders to discuss key elements of a roadmap for accelerating E-commerce in Rwanda and deliberate on the future of the business landscape in the region.

Why you should attend?

Consumers, small enterprises, service providers and other stakeholders need to learn more about how e-commerce may benefit them. They may be unaware of how to buy on an online marketplace, how online payments work, and safety measures undertaken by service providers. Filling information gaps and raising awareness in these diverse areas are crucial to the growth of the sector.

Expected outcomes

During the meeting, the participants will have an opportunity to discuss about key aspects regarding the acceleration of Digital/Internet Economy through of E-commerce in Rwanda. Therefore, the meeting is expected to highlight the current challenges that exist in the E commerce sector. The meeting will also discuss the potential solutions to develop furthermore the current status.
