BRALIRWA is looking for a qualified, dedicated & experienced individual to fill the position of Safety, Health and Environment Coordinator located in Gisenyi, Rwanda reporting to the Brewery Manager.

JOB PURPOSE:

Ensures the organization is driving for continuous improvement to achieve and sustain zero accidents and zero incidents. Drive environmental sustainability on site.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and execute the High Level Risk Assessments and the Safety and Environment Culture Survey.
  • Lead the investigation of accidents and incidents and defines roles and responsibilities in this process.
  • Ensure that preventive observation is done by managers, supervisors and specialists (Behavioural Based-Safety and Environment progression).
  • Ensure further development of the Daily / Monthly / Yearly control system (Safety and Environment tags, near misses, safe / unsafe behaviours, etc.)
  • Effectively organize the Safety and Environment department and manages the Emergency Team Coordinator, First Aid Squad Coordinator, Process Safety and Environment Specialist.
  • Ensure training of employees, managers and contractors in Behavioural Based Safety, preventive observations and Last Minute Risk Assessment.
  • Organises the validation of Safety and Environment instructions

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science , Engineering or any other related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years working experience
  • Fluent in English , French and Kinyarwanda

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Good communication skills and ability to connect with different stakeholders
  • Inductive reason and Mechanical comprehension online test
