INTERNAL & EXTERNAL JOB VACANCY – Supply Chain Operational Controller

We are seeking to hire a qualified and dedicated Supply Chain Operational Controller at Job Grade 10 based in Gisenyi reporting to the Brewery Manager.

 

Purpose of the Job

 

To provide and support operational management with fact-based information and analyses to optimize production planning and scheduling, identify operational performance opportunities, and perform systems integration, training, and auditing as well as overall performance reporting for the two production sites in BRALIRWA.

 

 Context

  • The SC Operational Controller is the functional owner of defined supply chain operational systems like Future master, BASE, BCS, Quallas, Mendix, IVAMS, etc.
  • In the role of Future master, the SC Operational Controller maintains master data for the two production sites, runs production scenario’s and translates weekly production requirements to most suitable production schedules.
  • In the role of BASE, the SC Operational Controller maintains master data for the two production sites and supports users with investigations and reporting.
  • In the role of BCS, the SC Operational Controller maintains master data and structure for the 3 reporting entities in BRALIRWA and supports accountable data reporters with automation and reporting from a system perspective.
  • In the role of Qualass, the SC Operational Controller maintains master data for Gisenyi, and supports users with investigations and reporting.
  • In the role of Mendix, the SC Operational Controller creates master data for the two production sites and supports users with investigations and reporting.
  • In the role of IVAMS, the SC Operational Controller maintains master data for Gisenyi, and supports users with investigations and reporting.
  • The SC Operational Controller provides a single source of operational performance.

 

Key responsibilities and activities

 

  1. Future master / production planning & scheduling Gisenyi
  • Ensure up to date technical master data
  • Lead in the respective planning and scheduling meetings
  • Maintain contact between stakeholders
  • Provides timely production schedules
  • Act as backup for the central planner
  • Provides improvement proposal

 

  1. BASE for BRALIRWA
  • Perform all system maintenance task for supply chain
  • Manage system integration with other (stand-alone) supply chain reporting systems
  • Provide reporting and reporting tooling for end users

 

  1. BCS for BRALIRWA
  • Perform all system maintenance task for supply chain
  • Manage system integration with other (stand-alone) supply chain reporting systems
  • Provide reporting and reporting tooling for end users
  • Act as single point contact with Regional and Global system owners

 

  1. Qualass for Gisenyi
  • Perform all system maintenance task for Gisenyi
  • Provide reporting and reporting tooling for end users
  • Liaise with Software supplier concerning improvements

 

  1. MENDIX for BRALIRWA
  • Perform all system maintenance task for supply chain
  • Manage system integration with other (stand-alone) supply chain reporting systems
  • Provide reporting and reporting tooling for end users
  • Act as single point contact with Regional and Global system owners

 

  1. Supply Chain Managerial support through information and data analyses
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly performance reporting
  • Provide improvement operational improvement opportunities
  • Provide a link between performance and costs

 

The SC Operational Controller will provide systems training, systems auditing and user coaching and providing local solutions for streamlining data handling and data handling automation

 

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, or any other related field
  • 4-5 years of experience in Business, preferably in FMCG
  • Highly experienced in Business Planning, Project Management, or changes Management
  • Financially and analytical literate
  • Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process design and implementation
  • Familiar with the use of software, analytics and Microsoft Excel is highly desired
