Job Summary

T24 Functional Lead is a newly created role in Bank of Kigali under the Transformation Program. This is an opportunity for a highly capable and experienced leader to help elevate and transform our capacity for managing T24 operations. The Functional Lead will be given the opportunity to lead us through an implementation, migration, cutover and integration of T24 Transact, FRM and FCM application across the business.

This position offers the right candidate a visible role in a long-established and highly respected Bank in   The functional lead will participate assessing the existing universal banking to implement and mapping the business requirement to the model bank. Though it is a highly technical role, it is one that requires the candidate to demonstrate the ability to partner with the business and IT leadership to understand the organization’s business requirements and to build and execute a roadmap to fulfill the same

Key Accountabilities

The key roles and responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Serving as the single point of contact for the holistic functional solution for T24 and for external systems that need to consume the T24 data
  • Identify and lead business efforts towards solution fitment, gap analysis, business requirements and efforts working closely with the Subject Matter Experts from various business units.
  • Serving as the responsible Lead Business Analyst for the project
  • Acting as the liaison between the business and Tech Architect team to ensure good collaboration
  • Challenging business requirements in order to facilitate the adopt vs. adapt concept: Adopt to T24, rather than Adapt existing business processes and functions, thereby reducing locally built deviations (L3 code)
  • Attending Bank Architectural meetings / discussions as multiple integrations with T24 is required
  • Assisting and guiding the bank on how to migrate, suggesting certain methodologies and important run book steps
  • Assisting and guiding the bank on how to release code/upgrade regularly, by defining certain base criteria, test considerations and check points
  • Responsible for implementations of solutions as per business requirements and provide guidance to users for UAT
  • Actively participate in all defect meetings and ensure all business requirements of business are implemented with no deviations
  • Supporting the project teams with system queries/issues raised during the Development, Go-Live and Production stages, and if required liaising directly with Temenos Product Team in order to resolve these issues timely
  • Track and Manage all risks and dependencies regarding core banking implementation across the bank.
  • Provides advice and technical training required for the various cross functional teams.>
Experience
  • Minimum 8 – 10 years’ professional experience in software banking consultancy
  • 10 years’ experience in T24 retail banking
  • Experience in writing BRD and FSD software specifications
  • Successful track record of designing and delivering projects
  • Ability to translate business requirements into IT solutions
  • Strong analytical skills, organized, process driven and detail-oriented
  • Good verbal and written communication skills, good presentation and problem-solving skills and the ability to work well with client
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated team player who works best in a collaborative team environment
Qualifications
  • Degree in Business/ Finance/ Computer Science or equivalent experience
Knowledge
  • Product knowledge: Temenos portfolio with expert knowledge in one specific product together
  • With a willingness and ability to master other Temenos products
  • Good commercial banking knowledge and accounting principles
  • Good knowledge of Digital Money or alternative channels
  • Good general knowledge of T24 Architecture and related interfaces.
  • Strong awareness of Industry and market developments, good overall company knowledge.
  • Good knowledge of MS Office package (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Visio)
