The UCC Student Portal, known as myUnion, provides single sign-on access to all essential college services including email, Canvas, and Self Service . Here’s everything you need to know to log in successfully:
Initial Setup Steps
- Visit the myUnion Login Page
- Enter your myUnion username (typically firstname.lastname)
- Update your initial password
- Set up Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
- Configure Account Recovery options
Username Format
- Format:
firstname.lastname
- Example: John Smith → john.smith
- Check your welcome email if unsure
- Contact techsupport@ucc.edu if you need assistance
Password Management
- Initial password is sent to your application email
- Reset process:
- Visit myUnion login page
- Click “Forgot Password?”
- Follow reset instructions
- If reset fails, contact techsupport@ucc.edu
Setting Up Two-Factor Authentication
Option 1: Okta Verify (Recommended)
- Download Okta Verify app
- Log in to myUnion
- Select “Okta Verify Setup”
- Scan the provided QR code
- Confirm setup by approving test notification
Option 2: Google Authenticator
- Download Google Authenticator app
- Log in to myUnion
- Select “Google Authenticator Setup”
- Scan the QR code
- Enter the verification code shown in the app
Account Recovery
Add a backup email or phone number to recover your account without contacting support:
- Log into myUnion
- Go to settings
- Add recovery contact information
Troubleshooting
If you receive an “Unable to Sign In” error:
- Try the “Forgot password” or “Unlock account” option
- Clear your browser cache
- Use an incognito/private window
- If issues persist, contact techsupport@ucc.edu with your IP address
