SCHOLARSHIPS – 2019-2020

The Higher Education Council wishes to inform the general public that through the Bilateral Cooperation between the Government of Rwanda and People’s Republic of China, the North China Electrical Power University (NCEPU) has offered to the Government of Rwanda twenty-one (21) full scholarships and ten (10) partial scholarships in Science, Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields at Bachelors, Masters and PhD levels, tenable in North China Electrical Power University commencing in academic year 2019-2020.

Interested candidates should submit the following application documents:

  • A filled International Student Application Form available at: http://apply.ncepu.edu.cn
  • A scanned copy of passport
  • A scanned Curriculum vitae
  • Scanned certified copies of Degree certificates and transcripts
  • One (1) recent passport size photo
  • Two (2) recommendation letters from previous Teachers/Mentors

Please note:

1.Applicants who will not be granted full scholarship MUST be willing to meet the remaining costs of their studies (they will be required to demonstrate ability to meet the remaining cost as a condition of being granted the partial scholarship).

2.Applicants for the Bachelors Degree must have at least 70 Aggregates in any subject combinations with Mathematics and Physics (Principle subjects) in the Advanced level in 2018 National

3.Application documents should be in either English or Chinese

4.Candidates are required to submit a study plan

5.Candidates are required to submit either a Chinese Proficiency Test Certificate for Chinese taught programs or English language proficiency certificate (TOEFL, !EIS) for English taught programs or the certificate of English instruction language.

7.Scanned copies of the required documents (see above) should be submitted (as pdf attachments in a zipped folder) to: scholarship@hec.gov.rw, not later than 15/05/2019.
