Eligibility
The Global Excellence Scholarship is available to applicants who:
- Are applying for a postgraduate programme in any of University of Dunde Schools
- Are classified as overseas fee status by the University of Dundee. You will be notified of your fee status upon application
- Have met all the academic conditions attached to your offer of entry
- Have entry qualifications which meet our eligibility criteria, which is outlined in the Scholarship Information below
If you are eligible to be awarded the scholarship, the amount will be deducted from your tuition fees meaning that any fees due will be minus the scholarship value. The tuition fee you pay is based on your academic year of entry and not the tuition fee published at point of application.
- If you have achieved the equivalent of UK 1st Class Honours, then you will be automatically assessed by the Admissions team and awarded the scholarship at a value of £5,000 in entry year only.
- If you have achieved less than UK 1st Class Honours, then They will review your application and may invite you to apply for the scholarship.
The value of the scholarship for application is £5,000 in entry year only.

In general, applications will be considered if your qualifications are UK 2nd Class Honours Degree up to UK 1stClass Honours Degree.
All grade equivalencies are at the discretion of the University of Dundee.
How to Apply
Once you have submitted your course application and have been made an offer of entry to the University of Dundee, whether conditional or unconditional, we will notify you via email if you are eligible for the award. You will not be able to submit a scholarship application without being made an offer.
If you have been automatically awarded the scholarship based on your entry qualifications then you will not need to submit an application.
