Africa Humanitarian Action (AHA) is an international humanitarian non-governmental organization providing effective humanitarian assistance to alleviate human suffering. AHA has been operating building on the strength of African people to solve African problems for the past 25 years.  AHA in partnership with the Government of Rwanda, (MINEMA) & UNHCR provides Primary Health Care, Nutrition and HIV/AIDS services to refugees residing in Kiziba,  Kigeme and Mugombwa camps, urban refugees in Kigali and Huye, for Rwandan Returnees in two Transit Centres, Kijote and Nyarushishi and two Reception Centres (Bugesera and Nyanza). AHA currently wants to employ qualified and motivated personnel for the following positions:

1.Psychosocial Nurse (1 Post)

Requirements:

  • Work experience in HIV Counseling in Hospitals or NGOs.
  • Excellent Communication, Organizational, Interpersonal Good Observational, Social Perceptiveness and Psychosocial , Patience & Empathy, Effective Communication Skills;
  •  Ethical Professional Practice;
  • Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; Knowledge of all is an advantage.

Educational Requirements:

-A1/A0 in Clinical Nursing with 2 years work experience in HIV Counseling

2. Mental Health Nurse (1 Post)

Requirements:

  • Must have a working knowledge and or experience in that field.
  • Ethical Professional Practice;
  • Fluent in Kinyarwanda, English and/ or French; Knowledge of all is an advantage.

Educational Requirements:

A1/A0 in Mental Health with 2 years work experience in as Mental Health Nurse in public/Private Hospital or NGO.


Starting date: As soon as possible

Period:One year renewable

Required:Rwandan Nationality

For all posts, working experience with NGOs interacting with refugees or displaced population is an added value.
