Position Summary

The Village Director is in charge of all Village programs to provide a home and education to our students and thus has the overall responsibility of youth wellbeing. This includes physical, mental wellness and formal education, as well as parental wholeness. S/he oversees the implementation of youth development programs with an aim to ensure healing, empowerment and self-reliance of the kids.

Reporting to the Executive Director, the Village Director is the custodian of the Agahozo-Shalom educational philosophy and guiding principles. The Village Director serves as a role model for the Village community in terms of its core values, culture and goals. The Village Director is responsible for creating a cohesive learning community/environment aimed at maximizing efficiency for a sustainable youth village.
