Selection procedure

Step 1: Check your eligibility for the Africa Scholarship Programme

First check whether you meet the admission requirements for an MSc programme:

  • Pre-education
  • Fluency in English
  • Specific requirements

Information about admission requirements can be found here.

Apart from the admission requirements, only excellent candidates, who can prove that they are among the best 5% of their study cohort, will be selected. The GPA can play a role in this but also the granting of a ‘first class’ bachelor degree, reference letters or achievement awards.

If you feel that that the description above applies to you, you can apply for an MSc programme and, after being admitted, we might invite you to participate in the ASP selection process.

Step 2: Apply for an MSc programme before 1 February 2020

Be sure that your file is complete before February 1, 2020.

Step 3: Selection for invitation to the Africa Scholarship Programme

A selected group of candidates will be invited by e-mail on 16 March 2020, to make an additional and personalised assignment (deadline 30 March 2020). Only candidates who will be invited for the ASP selection will receive an e-mail. It will be announced on the website (under step 5) when the invitations will have been sent.

In the week of 20 to 30 April 2020, a selected group of candidates can be interviewed (by skype). Everybody who has been invited on 16 March will be informed on 31 April whether or not they will be invited for the skype interview.

Step 4: Result of the selection process

On 14 May 2020, the result of the selection process will be communicated.
