Eligibility
- The applicant must be a citizen of a country outside the EU/EEA and Switzerland.
- The student must meet the entry requirements for the study programme at the start of
the semester. - The student must accept the study place offered on the programme.
Please note:
- The scholarship is only valid for the semester and the study programme to which the student has applied, i.e. a scholarship recipient who is granted a deferral or approved leave from studies cannot transfer the scholarship to another semester.
- Students who do not meet the requirements to progress to the next semester are not
considered to have satisfactory study results; their scholarship will therefore not be extended. - In cases where only part of the tuition fees is covered by the scholarship, the student is
obliged to pay the remainder in compliance with provisions at Kristianstad University. - Students who have been awarded a scholarship but who do not obtain a residence permit lose their scholarship.
- Students who apply for a scholarship for studies at the Bachelor’s level must be admitted to a degree programme at Kristianstad University and have completed at least two semesters of study at Kristianstad University
Scope of the scholarship
- Tuition fee paying students can now apply for reduction of tuition fee for the academic year 2019/2020.
- The scholarship only covers the tuition fees, not accommodation costs or other associated costs.
- There are no scholarships for family members.
- The scholarship covers all or part of the tuition fees and is not paid out in cash but deducted from the tuition fees.
- The scholarship is automatically extended to apply for a maximum of two semesters, on condition that the recipient’s study results are satisfactory.
How to apply
To apply for a Kristianstad University Scholarship, you must first apply for the programme you wish to study at Kristianstad University using the national application website, www.universityadmissions.se, during the application time for autumn semester studies. You then apply for a Kristianstad University Scholarship using this online application form

Selection criteria
The Kristianstad University Scholarship is completely merit based. The assessment of scholarship applications is made on the basis of the merits and documents sent to universityadmissions.se when applying for a programme.
NB. Merits and documents registered after the 1 February 2018 will not be taken into consideration.
You are not eligible for a Kristianstad University Scholarship if you have not paid the application fee to universityadmissions.se for the programme you wish to study.
Priority will be given to students who:
- applied in the first instance to Kristianstad University and on time in accordance with the national admission round
- have Kristianstad University as their first choice
- have studied at Bachelor’s level at Kristianstad University and are applying for Master programmes
- have excellent study merits and good proficiency in English
Applications that are not filled in correctly will not be taken into consideration.
No consideration is taken of the students’ financial needs in the selection process.
