CALL FOR PARTICIPATION IN A 3-DAY TRAINING OF WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS IN RWANDA

Background

The Arab Bank for Development in Africa (BADEA), with support of the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) in Partnership with ActionAid Rwanda, is conducting training for 40 women entrepreneurs in Rwanda.

The training will cover the following themes 1) Planning and organizing, 2) Financial management and 3) Maths and computer skills and will take place in Kigali city for three (3) days.

The training modules will consist of technical sessions reflecting thematic areas and practical sessions facilitating the experience in practice-oriented training. The goal of the training is to equip women entrepreneurs with critical skills to effectively manage their businesses and to improve the business environment.

Participants will have the option of attending the training from Monday to Wednesday or Thursday to Saturday. Selection will be on a competitive basis and participants residing outside Kigali City are strongly encouraged to apply.

To apply, please provide responses and supporting evidence to the following questions:

  3. Is your business female-owned and controlled?
  4. How many employees does your business employ?
  5. Is your business registered?
  6. Where is your business located?
  7. How long has your business been in operation?
  8. Provide a short summary of the type of business you own and operate and what your role in the business is.
  9. Explain in one paragraph how one or more of the themes of this training is relevant to your business and how this training will be applied to your business?
  10. What training session will you prefer? Monday-Wednesday OR Thursday to Saturday.

Submit your completed application by 24th October 2019 by 5 PM @ ActionAid Rwanda Office located Opposite Amahoro National Stadium Near CSR building and ZIGAMA CSS. Successful applicants will be notified by 30th Oct 2019. The training is planned for October or November 2019.
