The Government of Rwanda received a credit from World Bank for the implementation of the Priority Skills for Growth (PSG) Program, Among the component of PSG include Skills Development Fund II (SDF II) which is being implemented by WDA. The objective of SDF is to minimize skills gaps experienced by private business operators by rapidly increasing the supply of skills in high demand in the labour market and to ease the entry of new entrants to the labour market by providing them with labour market-relevant skills.

Two training batches have been completed while the third one is ongoing, in the framework to find out a holistic response to the graduates of out of school youth program conducted by TVET institutions under call 1, WDA in collaboration with private companies is planning to provide internship for more exposure to industrial working environment.

It is against this background that, WDA is Launching the fourth call of expression of interest for grant competition specifically for conducting Internship program under SDF project.

The eligible applicants should be companies/Industries which are interested and ready to provide an internship scheme for SDF beneficiaries graduated in the 1st call under Out of School Youth (OSY) program for a period of three months in the following training programs:

Carpentry / Wood Technology

– Welding

– Tailoring / Garment Manufacturing Solar energy Leather Craft / Leather Works

– Auto mechanics Domestic electricity Clearing and Freight Forwarding

– Industrial Electricity

– Food Processing Biomass Technology
