About the Role:
The Intern in the Information Technology area will have an opportunity to learn about a broad range of IT Support, IT Network and System Administration, Operations and Management issues while providing support and giving assistance to the SCI Rwanda team
Qualifications and experience
• Minimum degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Knowledge to operate most ICT and office equipment
• Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly and effectively at all levels, taking into account cultural and language difficulties. Tact and diplomacy are essential.
• The ability to work closely in a team, patience, adaptable, flexible, ability to improvise and work in an environment that is often stressful and potentially volatile.
• Sensitive to issues affecting children and committed to Save the Children Child Safeguarding Policy.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
This position is on Child Safeguarding- Level 3: The post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs. Or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.
